Polish Fashion Brands That Deserve Your Attention

Worldwide fashion fame belongs, without doubt, to French and Italian brands in the majority. But today, let’s take a close look at no less attractive and beautiful Polish labels – from famous names to very young brands.

Reserved

The Reserved brand belongs to the LPP S.A. group. (the largest Polish clothing manufacturer in Central and Eastern Europe), which also includes House, Cropp, Mohito, Sinsay brands. Reserved has more than 460 stores worldwide and sells more than 210 million clothing items yearly. In its collections, the brand tries to satisfy customers’ needs as quickly as possible, which is why it combines classic style with original details inspired by catwalk fashion and alternative offers from influencers. Reserved produces women’s, men’s, and children’s collections, environmentally conscious Eco Aware line, and a Premium collection made of high-quality fabrics.

Magda Butrym

Craftsmanship plays an essential role in Magda Butrym’s world. The brand’s activities focus on a deep-rooted tradition of cooperation with local Polish artisans who create unique fabrics, embroideries, lace, and hand-weaving. Thanks to such an individual approach, Magda Butrym’s items are considered valuable and niche. One of the brand’s first customers was Kim Kardashian, who noticed Magdalena Butrim’s skirt in a Parisian restaurant. For eight years, Anja Rubik, Emily Ratajkowski, Adriana Lima, and Jennifer Lopez became fans of romantic things inspired by retro style. The brand successfully mixes femininity with masculine elements in its collections: floral print with broad shoulders, glamorous fabrics with intricate cuts, etc.

THE MANNEI

The brand, founded two years ago by Polish-Jordanian stylist Sara Boruc Mannei, focuses on classics with a modern twist that fit perfectly into everyday life. The family-owned company, which makes items in local sewing workshops, strives to create timeless clothing that can be passed down from generation to generation. Special attention is paid to the quality of fabrics and current silhouettes. THE MANNEI entered the world arena very fast. Today, their sheepskin coats, suits, and tops are worn by Leonie Hanna, Elsa Hosk, Hailey Bieber, and Kendall Jenner.

MAWO

The name MAWO, a homonym of the Polish word MAŁO, which means “little,” captures the brand’s dedication to minimalism in all its forms: timelessly elegant design, limited production, and sparing use of natural resources. For example, Turkish cotton that has received the GOTS certification and is 100% organic is used to create the brand’s shirts. As a result, there are 94 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions, no toxic chemicals are used during the fabric’s production process, and no soil remediation is required. The goal of MAWO is to demonstrate to the world that caring for the environment and a love of fashion are not conflicting ideas.

ROSA Gold Chains

The brand’s founder, Agnieszka Roza, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw Polytechnic University, which allowed her to look at jewelry design from a non-standard angle. The designer seeks inspiration for creativity in nature and art but always avoids literalness and constantly finds new solutions. Today, ROSA is a family business with a group of friends who share common values, respect for nature, and social responsibility. Since 2012, the brand has repeatedly appeared on the pages of the glossy publications ELLE, Vogue, and L’Officiel, and in 2020 won the prestigious Elle Style Awards in the “Fashion” category. Style icons wear Rosa Chains jewelry — Blanca Miro, Jen Wonders, and Aimee Song.

Local Heroes

Local Heroes was founded in 2013 as a small t-shirt company but soon grew into a youth brand with a full range of streetwear. Star client Justin Bieber, who appeared on social networks in a T-shirt with the inscription Doing Real Stuff Sucks, significantly contributed to the development of the local brand. Local Heroes became a brand with a global name overnight, and the founders got on MTV and the covers of glossy publications.

COASTAL

The swimwear brand is inspired by spending time in the ocean and outdoors. The goal of the COASTAL team is to create a community focused on sustainable development. Each brand kit is a way to find and connect with like-minded people. “We understand the need to save our planet, so we do everything we can to minimize our footprint, to create things for active adventures that will serve you for a long time without harming the environment,” COASTAL notes. The brand also collaborates with organizations that do good things: make donations, volunteer, and use their voice to help the eco-conscious community.

PARIS+HENDZEL

Founded in 2013, Paris+Hendzel creates hats by hand from the highest quality materials and with the utmost attention to detail. The products are produced in small batches, which makes them unique. The brand’s permanent collection includes straw visors, bucket hats, and a number of other summer options to suit all tastes: Gambler, Teardrop, and Canotier.
